Creating Great Memories for Honeymoon
Stories
All newlyweds want honeymoon stories that are positively
memorable. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen. From feeling
the power of a jellyfish sting to accidentally loosing your wedding
ring, accidents happen, but it is good to remember it is not the
end of the world.
Fortunately, there are a few things that you can do to avoid
some mishaps to help create great honeymoon stories.
Avoiding Mishaps
A wise woman once told stated, “it is better to worry about the
things that you can control, than to waste time worrying about the
things that you can’t”. Learning to live by this mantra, even if
only for a few minutes a day, can seem daunting. Here are a few
things that you can do, when planning your honeymoon, to not only
make things smoother, but to create a great opportunity to take
away great honeymoon stories.
1. Finding yourself without a room doesn’t happen very often,
but when it does, it is either the hotel’s fault, or your own.
While there is little you can do, besides complain, when it is the
hotel’s fault, there is one thing you can do when it is your fault.
When you make plans to do something (i.e., stay at a certain
location for a specific amount of time), it is best to stick to
your agenda. Otherwise, things will not run smoothly. You can run
into the problem of finding yourself without a room. This could
happen because the hotel might book the room for the time period
after you are to check out. Also, if there are any major events
occurring at your next destination, and you decide to leave early,
you run the risk of the rooms in all accommodations being booked.
This is one experience that you would not want to make into one of
your honeymoon stories.
2. If you plan to play a game on the beach or do some other
vigorous outdoor activity, it is best to leave all jewelry in the
hotel room. Jewelry can be lost or stolen, and you may not have any
way of retrieving it.
3. Before you leave to another country, always check all
policies your credit card companies might have in regards to using
your credit card while out of the country. Some credit cards
mandate that the customer must notify the company before embarking
on any trips that are out of the country. If you don’t notify your
credit card companies, you run the risk of the card being
registered by the credit card company as stolen and therefore the
credit card will be confiscated as fraudulent.
Avoiding any three of these problems from occurring can help
make the most of your honeymoon stories. After all, you would not
any of your honeymoon stories to involve sleeping on hay, looking
your wedding ring, or watching as a restaurant manager, located
somewhere such as Cozumel, cuts up your credit cards would you?
